The newly elected Brazilian President, Lula, has announced in a rather clever way, that every Brazilian citizen will have to be vaccinated to continue to benefit from social assistance.
Astute observers will have noticed how useful this subtle measure is for the state budget. Indeed, it will be easy for the government to wait a bit for the recipient of this aid to end up succumbing to a heart attack, either because of racism or because of global warming.
Obviously, Canada’s prime minister Justin Trudeau but also the German chancellor, Olaf Scholz, Rishi Sunak, the British prime minister and China’s leader, Xi Jinping all deeply agree with this smart move.
Lula, who remains opposed to abortion, can be credited with a consistent policy: my body not my choice.
