Ukrainian civil servants go on strike to ask the United States to revise their salaries and pensions upwards
kyiv, Ukraine – 60% of Ukrainian civil servants went on strike on Monday to protest against the level of pensions proposed by the American government.
2 million people demonstrated according to the unions, 500 according to the police.
The organizer of the demonstration, Igor Federski, declared that at this level, the Ukrainians were very disappointed and refused to work at this rate.
“We are paid like Poles, it’s scandalous because we drink a lot less,” he said.
